![]() You can fix this using the “Snap” tool at the top of the viewport. From edit mode, if we grab a vertex on the icing mesh and simply drag it down (with proportional editing turned on), the rest of the mesh will tend to end up “inside” the donut, like this: We now want to give our icing some “dribbly bits” that droop down the donut (like real icing tends to do as it cools). Snapping Our Icing To The Face Of The Donut ![]() With solidify turned off in the viewport, we see this (much better!): With solidify turned on in the viewport, edit mode for our icing looks like this: We want to hide the solidify modifier we added to the icing, so that it doesn’t cover up our mesh while we’re in edit mode (otherwise, it’s quite hard to edit the mesh since we can’t select it). Once they are done and dry you can set them aside for your party until you’re ready to use them. When the DecouPage and glitter are dry you can give it another quick coat of the DecouPage to seal the glitter so it doesn’t get all over your guests. To clean up any spilled glitter easily use a lint roller, it’s my favorite little trick. Tip: I always pour or sprinkle glitter over a paper plate or piece of paper so I can easily put the excess glitter back into the container. Once you have your DecouPage on just sprinkle the glitter over the wet glue, then tap off any excess glitter. I did one-half of my cup, then the other half and let it dry completely. ![]() Work in sections so the DecouPage doesn’t dry before you get the glitter on. Just remember not to go any higher on your cup than the halfway mark, you don’t want it where someone’s mouth would touch. You can also use a round foam pouncer brush to create polka dots. I wanted the glitter to be a little more abstract and not so perfect so I just painted the DecouPage on in varying brush strokes, if you want clean lines you can use some painters tape or washi tape to create a clean line.
